I entered the automotive industry in 1987 and forged a career starting as a car cleaner, working my way upwards through many roles including sales executive, sales manager and sales & product training manager, working for small, privately-owned franchised dealers through to larger PLCs, training & consultancy businesses and global manufacturers.
From 2007 until 2014 I worked for Mercedes-Benz, firstly in the role of Group Training Manager for the factory-owned Mercedes-Benz Retail Group. During this time I developed industry-leading induction programmes for both sales and aftersales and created the Mercedes-Benz Retail Group Sales Academy Training Programme, which achieved 'Highly Commended' at the 2014 Automotive Management Awards.
Latterly I was an Organisational Development Business Partner based at Mercedes-Benz UK. In this role I had responsibility for personal development training, identifying emerging & top talent within the business and delivering training solutions for these individuals. I was also part of a small team tasked with the implementation of career development training for Daimler in Stuttgart which was delivered across 22 European countries.
I decided to utilise my wealth of experience within the automotive industry and launched Matt Molland Training in October 2014. My passion for helping individuals and organisations to realise their full potential is at the centre of all of my work.
In early 2019 I expanded by opening another business in the United Arab Emirates in addition to the one in UK; based in Dubai I can offer exactly the same level of high quality and bespoke business performance improvement solutions to clients across the Middle East.
I am a certified TAP L&D practitioner, endorsed by the Institute of Leadership and Management as a Business Coach and am a qualified practitioner for the FIRO-B, Myers Briggs Type Indicator and Thomas International psychometric tools.
